It’s a beautiful afternoon in Kabul, the skies are full of colour and the streets are full of the excitement of a kite flying tournament, but no one can foresee the terrible incident that will shatter their lives forever.

Directed by Matthew Spangler The Kite Runner is adapted for the stage by Matthew Spangler.

The play first premiered in 2009 and made its UK debut at Nottingham Playhouse before transferring to London’s West End and later Broadway.

Meet the cast

Featuring on the cast of the new tour are Stuart Vincent as Amir, Dean Rehman as Baba, Bhavin Bhatt as Assef, Tiran Aakel as Ali/Farid, Ian Abeyesekera as Gen Taheri, Christopher Glover as Ramin Khan, Stanton Wright as Wali, Yazdan Qafouri as Hassan/Sohrab; Daphne Kouma as Soraya and Aram Mardourian as Kamal.

They’re joined by ensemble members Sulin Hasso and Amar Aggoun with Hanif Khan as the resident Tabla player.
