After a spectacular season at The London Palladium and an unprecedented UK & Ireland tour, The Wizard of Oz makes its grand return to the West End for an exclusive four-week run this August.
Featuring JLS star Aston Merrygold as The Tin Man and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK champion The Vivienne as The Wicked Witch of the West, this extraordinary production promises to be a magical experience for the whole family.
On her adventure down the Yellow Brick Road Dorothy meets new friends Scarecrow, Tinman and Lion who help her on her way, but the villainous and frightfully glamourous Wicked Witch has other plans for Dorothy, and in Oz – nothing is quite as it seems.
Through the deep Dark Forest to the bright neon lights of Emerald City, Dorothy and her friends search for the powerful and mysterious Wizard of Oz, the only person who can grant their hearts desires, and maybe even a way home.
The musical features new music from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, as well as songs from the original 1930s film.
The production is directed by Curve’s Artistic Director Nikolai Foster with choreography by Shay Barclay, set design by Colin Richmond, costume and puppet design by Rachael Canning, projection designs by Douglas O’Connell, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Adam Fisher, wigs, hair & makeup design by Elizabeth Marini, musical direction by George Dyer and casting by Kay Magson CDG.
