The 2023 Panto at Marlowe Theatre has been revealed with an all star cast
Co-produced with Evolution Pantomimes, the show this festive season will be Aladdin with tickets available to buy now here.
Aladdin has become one of the most popular pantomimes in the UK thanks to its magical story of a young boy who chances upon a wish-granting genie.
As usual a brilliant cast will bring the fairytale to the stage this year.
The panto will feature TV and West End star Kevin Clifton (Strictly Come Dancing, Singin’ In The Rain, Rock Of Ages) in his pantomime debut and children’s favourite, Phil Gallagher (CBeebies’ Mister Maker).
Kevin said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to be returning to The Marlowe for Aladdin! This will be my first ever pantomime, and I’m so excited that I get to play the baddie! It’ll be totally different from anything I’ve done before, and I can’t wait to revel in all the boos and hisses.
“After performing in Canterbury with Strictly Ballroom and Rock of Ages, I knew I had to come back. Canterbury is going to be the perfect place to soak up the festive cheer! Get ready for some villainous dance moves and a whole lot of fun.”
They will be joined by Marlowe Legend Ben Roddy and West End stars Alistair So (Matilda, The King & I), Lauren Chia (Disney’s Aladdin, The Sound Of Music), Shannon Farrell (Betty Blue Eyes) and Zain Abrahams (Demon Dentist) – plus Courtney Bowman (SIX The Musical).
The show will be written and directed by Paul Hendy.
Aladdin will play at Marlowe Theatre from 24 November 2023 until 7 January 2024.
