Six the Musical to add Broadway changes to new West End run

Six the Musical’s new West End run will add changes from the recent Broadway production.

The show’s creative team have teased “little tweaks” will be made when Six reopens in November.

It was confirmed this week that the hit musical will be moving from The Arts Theatre to the Lyric Theatre for a limited social distanced season.

Composer and co-director Lucy Moss has revealed the new West End run will feature some changes based on the more recent Broadway production.

She told What’s On Stage: “We had the chance on Broadway as the creative team to make little tweaks and polish everything up and it’s exciting to have the opportunity to bring that to London.”

While not revealing exactly what has changed, Moss teased: “We’re really excited for the shiniest version of Six yet.”

Nominated for five Olivier Awards, Six turns Tudor queens into pop princesses as 500 years of historical heartbreak becomes an hour of 21st century sass.

Six – written and composed by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss – has become a huge hit since first premiering at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017.

The show was scheduled to open on Broadway in March before the pandemic forced theatres to shutdown on its opening night.

Alongside the West End and New York productions, the show also has a UK tour which will reopen in Salford this November.

The musical will play at the Lowry for six weeks from November 27.
