Six The Musical to open on Broadway in September
Six The Musical has announced plans for its delayed Broadway reopening.
Nominated for five Olivier Awards, Six The Musical turns Tudor queens into pop princesses as 500 years of historical heartbreak becomes an hour of 21st century sass.
Alongside UK productions, Six transferred to Broadway last year where it was due to open just before the pandemic shutdown theatres.
Now the show has confirmed plans to reopen, with previews beginning at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre from 17 September.
The official opening night – originally set for the very day Broadway shut down last March – will now take place on 3 October.

Casting for the opening is to be confirmed.
Prior to the shutdown, the Six Broadway cast featured Adrianna Hicks as Catherine of Aragon, Andrea Macasaet as Anne Boleyn, Abby Mueller as Jane Seymour, Brittney Mack as Anne of Cleves, Samantha Pauly as Katherine Howard and Anna Uzele as Catherine Parr.
Nicole Kyoung-Mi Lambert, Courtney Mack and Mallory Maedke completed the cast as swings.
Six The Musical – written and composed by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss – has become a huge hit since first premiering at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017.
The musical will reopen in the West End in May with a run at the Lyric Theatre while a UK tour is currently booking to 2023.
Alongside the new Broadway production, there have also been international productions of the show in Australia and New Zealand as well as aboard the Norwegian Cruise Line’s Bliss.
