Spirited: Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell star in new Christmas movie musical
Spirited release date and castRyan Reynolds and Will Ferrell are to star in a new movie musical this Christmas.
Spirited will be available on Apple TV+ on 18 November.
The new movie is a reimagined retelling of Charles Dickens’ festive classic, A Christmas Carol, and features songs by The Greatest Showman and Dear Evan Hansen songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
Also on the cast are Octavia Spencer, Sunita Mani, Patrick Page, Joe Tippett, Marlow Barkley and Jen Tullock.
A teaser from Apple shares: “Imagine Charles Dickens’ heartwarming tale of a scrooge visited by four ghosts on Christmas Eve—but funnier. And with Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, and Octavia Spencer. Also, huge musical numbers. Okay, we’re asking a lot. Maybe just watch the trailer?”
