The Last Five Years hits Broadway with Nick Jonas and Adrienne Warren

Adrienne Warren and Nick Jonas

Nick Jonas and Adrienne Warren are set to star in the first-ever Broadway production of Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years.

Tony nominee Whitney White, known for Jaja’s African Hair Braiding, will direct the show.

Performances will begin at The Hudson Theatre for 14 weeks only from March 28.

The two-character musical tells the story of Jamie and Cathy as they navigate the ups and downs of their five-year relationship.

Jonas and Warren are stepping into roles made famous by Sherie Rene Scott and Norbert Leo Butz in the original off-Broadway production, and Betsy Wolfe and Adam Kantor in the off-Broadway revival in 2013.

The show made its London debut in 2016, starring Jonathan Bailey as Jamie and Samantha Barks.

Jeremy Jordan and Anna Kendrick also brought the characters to life in the film adaptation directed by Richard LaGravenese.
