Bill Kenwright Ltd and Paul Taylor-Mills are bringing the London premiere of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical to The Other Palace this autumn.

The show will run at the London venue from 23 November 2024 – 2 February 2025.

Adapted from Rick Riordan’s best-selling book series, this rock musical first premiered off-Broadway in 2014, earning rave reviews.

Since then, it has enjoyed two US tours, another off-Broadway run in 2017, and a 16-week limited run on Broadway in 2019.

The book series, with over 180 million copies sold worldwide, has also been adapted into films and a hit TV series for Disney+, now renewed for a second season.

Audiences will be transported into a world of magic and myth as the exceptional creative team brings these beloved adventures to life on stage.

New York City teenager Percy Jackson’s life changes dramatically when he discovers he is the half-blood son of Poseidon.

With newfound powers he struggles to control, an unwanted destiny, and mythical monsters chasing him, Percy must learn what it means to be a hero.

Percy and his friends embark on an epic adventure, with the future of the world hanging in the balance.

The musical features a book by Joe Tracz (Be More Chill), music and lyrics by Rob Rokicki (Monstersongs), and is directed and choreographed by Lizzi Gee (Groundhog Day).

Casting and the full creative team will be announced soon.
