The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe to run in West End at Gillian Lynne Theatre from July
Fresh from its recent tour, the stage adaptation of The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe is to transfer to the West End this summer!
Based on C S Lewis’ iconic book of the same name, the production will open at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on 18 July 2022, running to 8 January 2023 with tickets on sale now.
It follows a national tour throughout 2021 and 2022.
Samantha Womack will lead the cast as the White Witch with full casting for the West End run to be announced.

Step through the wardrobe into the enchanted kingdom of Narnia. Join Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter as they wave goodbye to wartime Britain and embark on the most magical of adventures in a frozen, faraway land where they meet a Faun, talking Beavers, Aslan, the noble king of Narnia, and the coldest, most evil White Witch.
Michael Fentiman (Amélie) directs, based on Sally Cookson’s initial production at Leeds Playhouse and the Bridge Theatre.

The production celebrates the magic of live theatre and is led by a multi-talented cast of actors, singers, musicians, dancers and puppeteers; it is a celebration of the possibilities of the collective imagination and the boundless wonders of individual skill.

The full creative team includes set and costume designer Tom Paris, composer Benji Bower with additional composition by music supervisor Barnaby Race, choreographer Shannelle ‘Tali’ Fergus, lighting designer Jack Knowles, sound designers Ian Dickinson and Gareth Tucker for Autograph, puppetry director Toby Olié, puppetry designer Max Humphries, aerial director Gwen Hales, illusionist Chris Fisher, music director Toby Higgins, casting director Will Burton CDG, fight director Jonathan Holby, wigs and make up designer Susanna Peretz, props supervisor Lizzie Frankl, dramaturg Adam Peck and movement consultant Dan Canham.
