The Other Palace announce return of podcast supporting new British musical theatre

The Other Palace has announced the return of its musical podcast under a new name.

Now called Making A Musical: The Future of British Musical Theatre, the podcast will make a comeback this spring dedicated to supporting and showcasing new British musical theatre.

Each episode will feature music and exclusive interviews with the writers and creatives of two new musicals, curated and hosted by director Alex Jackson and The Other Palace Programme Manager, Kiki Stevenson.

Formerly All That Scratch, the podcast returns in a new format and with a new name to delve deeper into the creative processes of writing a new musical. Previous shows featured have since premiered in the West End, and had extensive productions off West End, regionally and internationally.

The Other Palace Artistic Director, Paul Taylor-Mills, said: “Supporting the genesis and development of new musical theatre is integral to what we do at The Other Palace. We’re always looking to nurture talent and we are committed to providing opportunities for creative voices to share their work. I am delighted we can grow the podcast from its first iteration to provide an even better platform for new work to engage with wider audiences and ultimately find its path to full production.”

The Making A Musical podcast will release Season 3 this June across Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts.
