The Prince of Egypt Musical to close in London’s West End in January
The Prince of Egypt Musical has announced it will play its final performance in London’s West End in January.
Adapted from the 1998 DreamWorks animated movie, The Prince of Egypt musical opened at the Dominion Theatre in London in February 2020.
However shows were quickly cancelled when the pandemic forced theatres to shutdown in March.
The production reopened from 1 July and has announced it will now play its final performance on 8 January 2022.

Originally produced by DreamWorks animation, The Prince of Egypt is an adaptation of the Book of Exodus and tells the journey of Moses as from being a prince of Egypt to his ultimate destiny to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt.
The stage adaption features brand new music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz alongside the original songs he penned for the movie, including Oscar-winning track When You Believe.
It was previously announced that the show would be filmed for broadcast with a release date to be announced.
The West End cast is led by Luke Brady as Moses, Liam Tamne as Ramses, Christine Allado as Tzipporah and Alexia Khadime as Miriam.
Further casting features Joe Dixon as Seti, Debbie Kurup as Queen Tuya, Clive Rowe (to 16 October) as Jethro, Adam Pearce as Hotep, Nardia Ruth as Nefertari, Silas Wyatt-Barke as Aaron and Mercedesz Csampai as Yocheved.
Completing the company are Simbi Akande, Casey Al-Shaqsy, Jordan Anderton, Joe Atkinson, Danny Becker, Felipe Bejarano, Pàje Campbell, Catherine Cornwall, Adam Filipe, Soophia Foroughi, Natalie Green, Jack Harrison-Cooper, Kalene Jeans, Christian Knight, Jessica Lee, Oliver Lidert, Daniel Luiz, Jay Marsh, Scott Maurice, Carly Miles, Alice Readie, Samuel Sarpong-Broni, Christopher Short, Molly Smith, Marco Venturini, Ricardo Walker, Niko Wirachman and Sasha Woodward.
