The Prince of Egypt musical West End cast announced
The full cast for West End’s The Prince of Egypt musical has been confirmed.
Adapted from the 1998 animated movie, The Prince of Egypt musical will run at the Dominion Theatre from February. Tickets are now on sale.
Previews start on February 5, 2020 with an official opening night set for February 25. The currently planned limited engagement will run through until September 12.
The cast will be led by Luke Brady (Sweeney Todd) who will play Moses with Liam Tamne (The Light in the Piazza) as Ramses.
Christine Allado (Hamilton) will play Tzipporah and Alexia Khadime (The Book of Mormon) will play Miriam.
Further casting features Joe Dixon as Seti, Debbie Kurup as Queen Tuya, Gary Wilmot as Jethro, Adam Pearce as Hotep, Tanisha Spring as Nefertari, Silas Wyatt-Barke as Aaron and Mercedesz Csampai as Yocheved.
Completing the cast will be Simbi Akande, Casey Al-Shaqsy, Joe Atkinson, Danny Becker, Felipe Bejarano, Pàje Campbell, Adam Filipe, Soophia Foroughi, Natalie Green, Jack Harrison-Cooper, Rachael Ireson, Kalene Jeans, Christian Knight, Jessica Lee, Oliver Lidert, Jay Marsh, Scott Maurice, Carly Miles, Sam Oladeinde, Alice Readie, Christopher Short, Ricardo Walker, Danny Williams, Niko Wirachman and Sasha Woodward.
The stage adaption will feature new music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz alongside the original songs he penned for the movie, including Oscar-winning track When You Believe.

Originally produced by DreamWorks animation, The Prince of Egypt is an adaptation of the Book of Exodus and tells the journey of Moses as from being a prince of Egypt to his ultimate destiny to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt.
