Tony Awards 2023 date and host revealed for 76th annual ceremony
The Tony Awards are back for 2023 – here’s all you need to know!
The 76th Annual Tony Awards will take place this summer, celebrating the best musicals and plays from the 2022/2023 Broadway season.
Academy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Ariana DeBose will be back to host the ceremony for the second year in a row.
Tony Awards 2023 date
The 2023 Tony Awards is currently scheduled to take place live on Sunday, 11 June.
The ceremony will take place at United Palace in Washington Heights.
DeBose said: “I was honoured to serve as host last year and even more so to be asked back! So looking forward to celebrating this incredible season and the people who make the work happen. Here’s to adding some uptown flavour to the magic of the Tony Awards!”
This year’s nominations were revealed in New York on 2 May by Lea Michele and Myles Frost.

New musicals in contention for this year’s awards include & Juliet, Almost Famous, Bad Cinderella, A Beautiful Noise, Kimberly Akimbo, KPOP and Some Like It Hot as well as revivals 1776, Bob Fosse’s Dancin’, Into the Woods, Parade and Sweeney Todd.
New plays eligible are Ain’t No Mo’, Between Riverside and Crazy, A Christmas Carol, The Collaboration, Cost of Living, The Kite Runner, Leopoldstadt, Mike Birbiglia: The Old Man and the Pool, Pictures from Home and Walking with Ghosts with revivals Death of a Salesman, A Doll’s House, Ohio State Murders, The Piano Lesson and Topdog/Underdog.
