Watch 9 to 5 The Musical at West End Live with Amber Davies, Natalie McQueen, Louise Redknapp

The cast of 9 to 5 The Musical made their West End Live debut this weekend.

Back again for 2019, West End Live is an annual free concert held in London’s Trafalgar Square.

Showcasing some of the West End’s biggest shows, this year’s event saw the company of 9 to 5 The Musical perform.

The cast – including Natalie McQueen, Louise Redknapp, Amber Davies and Bonnie Langford – performed a medley of songs including title song 9 to 5 and Get Out and Stay Out.

With a score written by country music icon Dolly Parton, 9 To 5 The Musical is based on the 1980s comedy movie of the same name, which Dolly starred in.

The Oscar, Grammy and Tony award-nominated score features some of Parton’s biggest hits, including the legendary ‘9 to 5’, as well as original songs written for the show.

Last month the show announced it was extending its West End run until April 2020. The musical dubbed May 9 – as ‘9/5 day’ to announce the news that 300,000 new tickets were now on sale.

Meanwhile, a UK tour of 9 to 5 The Musical has also been confirmed, starting in September and starring some of the current West End company.

Redknapp will appear as Violet Newstead in Manchester, Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dublin.

Davies will play Judy Bernly in Birmingham, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Glasgow, Woking, Aberdeen, Cardiff, Sunderland, Edinburgh and Dublin.

In addition, their fellow West End cast members Caroline Sheen will play Violet Newstead in Cardiff while Brian Conley will appear Franklin Hard in Milton Keynes.

Meanwhile, other shows appearing on West End Live’s this Saturday included Disney’s Aladdin, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, On Your Feet!, Come From Away, The Phantom of the Opera and Les Misérables.

Joining them were Wicked, Mamma Mia!, Waitress, Six, Jesus Christ Superstar, & Juliet, Thriller Live, The View Upstairs.

West End Live will return for a second day of performances tomorrow, Sunday June 23.
