October saw the 2020 Olivier Awards ceremony, helmed by Jason Manford at the London Palladium.
Although the show was held virtually, we still got some special performances from the nominated musicals.
& Juliet received a total of nine nominations, with Lee winning for Best Actress In A Musical.

& Juliet is described as an “irreverent and fun-loving” musical that retells the classic story of Romeo and Juliet by asking: what if Juliet’s famous ending was really just her beginning?
The show features a pop score by Max Martin, with songs including Break Free (Ariana Grande), …Baby One More Time (Britney Spears), Teenage Dream (Katy Perry) Everybody (Backstreet Boys), Can’t Feel My Face (The Weeknd) and It’s My Life (Bon Jovi).
The current London cast features Miriam-Teak Lee as Juliet, with Oliver Tompsett and Cassidy Janson as Mr and Mrs. Shakespeare, Melanie La Barrie as Nurse and Jordan Luke Gage as Romeo.
Performances at the Shaftesbury Theatre are due to resume in the Spring.
