‘We’re Unstoppable’ West End stars join recent graduates in new charity song
West End stars have joined forces with recent graduates in a new charity song.
‘We’re Unstoppable’ was written by Stiff & Kitsch (Sally O’Leary and Rhiannon Neads) together with James Taylor to raise money for mental health charities.
A team of over 40 singers and musicians helped on the project, which is raising funds for Mind (UK) and Pieta (Ireland) – you can donate online here.
The organisers say: “The song was written in response to the feeling of helplessness that many artists are feeling right now, with projects unavoidably cut short or cancelled altogether. We wanted to write something hopeful about the power of living in the moment – a sentiment which has wider reaching meaning than for our industry alone.
“The song has been recorded in the homes of over 40 different artists across the UK & Ireland, with a range of West End performers and recent Drama school grads, all of whom have been deeply affected by the current crisis.”
Soloists on the song are Marisha Wallace, Evelyn Hoskins, Kayleigh McKnight and Claire O’Leary with a band made up of James Taylor (Piano) Jack Louis Rennie (Guitar) Sam Pegg (Bass) and Matt Billups (Drums)
The choir is made up of recent graduates from Urdang, LAMDA, Drama Studio London, Italia Conti, GSA, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Masters & Rose Bruford.
