West End Acoustic concert to stream online in April
2020’s West End Acoustic concert is to stream online after being filmed last year at Riverside Studios.
Originally taking place on 8 December last year, West End Acoustic is an evening of live & unplugged musical theatre with stars of the West End.
A filmed version of the live show will be made available to watch online via stream.theatre between 15 to 18 April.
Those taking part in the show are:
Tyrone Huntley (Dreamgirls, Memphis, The Book of Mormon and Jesus Christ Superstar)
Renée Lamb (Six, Little Shop of Horrors and Ain’t Misbehavin’)
Nicholas McLean (Wicked, The Book of Mormon, Avenue Q and Sister Act)
Maiya Quansah-Breed (Six and Rent)
Sam Tutty (ear Evan Hansen)
They will be performing songs from shows including Dear Evan Hansen, Six, Little Shop of Horrors, West Side Story, Girl From The North Country, The Wiz and Jagged Little Pill.
Musical direction and keys for the evening comes from Chris Poon.
The original show formed part of Riverside Studios’ Christmas season which also included a Christmas at the Movies concert and staged readings of Agatha Christie plays Spider’s Web and The Hollow.
