Amélie The Musical has released an original London cast recording.

Based on the Academy Award and BAFTA nominated 2001 romantic comedy film, Amélie features music by Daniel Messé, lyrics by Messé and Nathan Tysen and a book by Craig Lucas.

The musical recently concluded a run at The Other Palace following a first UK tour and now a cast recording is out!

The Original London Cast Recording of Amélie was released on Friday, June 5. You can stream or download the digital album on Amazon here or iTunes/Apple Music here.

Talented French-Canadian actress Audrey Brisson played the title role in the production, which received rave reviews.

Alongside Brisson, the cast featured Sophie Crawford as ‘Gina’, Faoileann Cunningham as ‘Georgette’ / ‘Sylvie’, Rachel Dawson as ‘Andamine’ / ‘Philomene’, Oliver Grant as ‘Lucien’ / ‘Mysterious Man’, Chris Jared as ‘Nino Quincampoix’, Caolan McCarthy as ‘Hippolito’ / ‘Elton John’, Samuel Morgan-Grahame as ‘Joseph’ / ‘Fluffy’, Emma Jane Morgan as ‘Delphine’, Kate Robson-Stuart as ‘Suzanne’, Josh Sneesby as ‘Blind Beggar’, Jez Unwin as Raphael / Bretodeau and Johnson Willis as Collignon / Dufayel.

Amélie tells the story of a shy waitress living in Paris who discretely orchestrates the lives of the people around her.

The musical adaptation premiered in 2015 in Berkeley with Samantha Barks in the title role, before transferring to Broadway in 2017 with Phillipa Soo.

An original Broadway cast recording featuring Soo is available now.
