Cast announced for Dick Whittington panto at Salisbury Playhouse

Wiltshire Creative has announced casting for Salisbury Playhouse panto Dick Whittington.

Following the success of last year’s award-winning production of Cinderella, Dick Whittington will run from 25 November 2023 – 7 January 2024.

Making up the cast are Will Carey (Dick Whittington), Olivia Hewitt Jones (Alice Fitzwarren), Will Jennings (Percy Rat), Hugh Osbourne (Alderman Fitzwarren), David Rumelle (Sarah the Cook), Lindo Shinda (Cosmo), Natalie Winsor (Fairy Bowbells), Alisha Capon and Daniel Timoney.

Helmed by Artistic Director of Wiltshire Creative Gareth Machin, the show is written by trio Plested, Brown & Wilsher returning to Salisbury for a second year.

Join Dick Whittington and his cool cat Cosmo, on the journey from Salisburyshire to London, in search of fame and fortune.

In the big city, disaster strikes, and the streets aren’t paved with gold but overrun with rodents. Can Dick defeat Evil King Rat and save the city of London? Join us this Christmas to find out! Expect exciting escapades, dazzling dances, and sparkling songs from our live band, which will have you singing and dancing all the way home.

The production has design by Zoe Squire, lighting design by Nic Farman, choreography by Khiley Williams, musical supervision by Josh Sood, musical direction by Ong Cheng Kan, sound design by Michael Scott, casting direction by Natalie Gallacher CDG, associate casting direction by Richard Johnston.
