The full cast recording of Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) is now available for streaming. Featuring Olivier Award-winner Sam Tutty and Dujonna Gift, the musical follows Dougal, an optimistic Brit in New York, and Robin, a busy New Yorker, as they navigate unexpected possibilities during a wedding. Directed by Tim Jackson and written by Jim Barne and Kit Buchan, the show has gained significant online popularity.

LIFELINE

Center Stage Records has released LIFELINE, a new musical by Becky Hope-Palmer with music and lyrics by Robin Hiley. The musical narrates the life of Alexander Fleming, the Scottish scientist who discovered penicillin, and intertwines his story with that of Jess, a modern-day doctor. The cast features Aaron Lazar, Arielle Jacobs, and Nathan Salstone, among others. Previously known as The Mould that Changed the World, LIFELINE has toured widely and is set for an Off-Broadway run later this year.

Grumpy Old Men

Center Stage Records has released the world premiere recording of Grumpy Old Men, a musical by Dan Remmes, Neil Berg, and Nick Meglin. The album stars Ed Dixon, Mark Jacoby, Leslie Stevens, Sally Struthers, and Hal Linden. The story centres on neighbours Max and John, whose rivalry intensifies when they both fall for their new neighbour, Ariel. Adapted from the 1993 film, the musical captures small-town life with engaging songs and endearing characters.

The highly anticipated studio cast recording of Alice Down the Rabbit Hole is now available. This modern twist on Lewis Carroll’s tales features Alice, a social media-obsessed teen, who follows climate scientist Professor Rabbit in a race against the Red Queen. With a dynamic folk-pop score, the musical stars Rob Madge, Lara Denning, and Grace Mouat. P Burton-Morgan and Pippa Cleary provide the book, lyrics, and music, creating a lively journey through the pressing issue of climate change.

The Stationmaster

The Stationmaster, a new British musical by Susannah Pearse and Tim Connor, has released its Complete Work concept album featuring top West End talent. The musical is inspired by Horváth’s Judgment Day and set in a 1955 Lake District community. It tells the dark tale of stationmaster Thomas Price, who causes a fatal train crash after a secret kiss with Anna. The cast includes Nigel Richards, Alex Young, Nicola Sloane, and Jessica Sherman, with orchestrations by Jason Carr. The musical is a thrilling blend of ambition and tragedy, promising to captivate listeners with its haunting score.
