An EP cast recording of new British musical Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) has been released this week!

Fresh from news of its West End transfer, the show has released songs from the show to stream now.

The album stars Olivier Award-winner Sam Tutty and Dujonna Gift, who will appear reprise their roles for the upcoming West End run.

Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) is set to make its West End debut at the Criterion Theatre, running from 4 April to 14 July 2024. This follows its record-breaking performance at Kiln Theatre.

Directed by Tim Jackson, with a script by Jim Barne and Kit Buchan, the musical has gained a significant online following, with over a million views on TikTok and 100,000 views on YouTube for songs featured in the show.

Sam Tutty, who plays Dougal, is known for his Olivier Award-winning role in Dear Evan Hansen and his work in Once on this Island. Dujonna Gift, playing the character Robin, has been part of the acclaimed Hamilton, Caroline or Change, and Motown: The Musical.

The story follows Dougal, an optimistic Brit heading to New York for his father’s second wedding, and Robin, a busy New Yorker and sister of the bride. Their initial encounter is anything but romantic, but as the narrative unfolds, the wedding and the city set the stage for unexpected possibilities.

The full creative team includes Soutra Gilmour as Designer, Jack Knowles as Lighting Designer, Tony Gayle as Sound Designer, Lux Pyramid providing Orchestration, Julia Horan CDG as Casting Director, and Claira Vaughan as Associate Director.
