Full cast announced for Diana: The Musical UK premiere in London

Full casting has been unveiled for the UK premiere of Diana: The Musical.

The show from Joe DiPietro and David Bryan will run at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith for one-night-only on 4 December 2023.

In a re-imagined version of the show, which previously ran on Broadway, the concert will see the role of Diana split in two. Kerry Ellis will star as Diana Princess Of Wales while Maiya Quansah-Breed will feature as Diana Spencer.

Denise Welch will play the Queen, Alice Fearn will play Camilla Parker Bowles, Andy Coxon will play Prince Charles, Jay Perry will play James Hewitt and Aleyna Mohanraj will play Sarah Spencer, Diana’s sister.

Completing the cast will be an ensemble of students from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

Diana is the electrifying new musical about a woman who chose to be fearless, and as a result became timeless.

A princess thrust onto the world stage. The tabloid media captivated by her beauty and vulnerability. The globe’s most celebrated monarchy disrupted. This is the story of the most famous woman of the modern age as she struggles to endure a spotlight brighter than any the world had ever known. Leading fiercely with her heart, Princess Diana stood up for her family, her country and herself. She defied expectations, she rocked the royals and she created a legacy that will endure forever.

The show is directed by Owen Horsley with musical director Adam Hoskins. It is produced by Lambert Jackson and Cuffe & Taylor.

The musical originally ran at the Longacre Theatre on Broadway while a filmed version was released on Netflix.
