Hadestown West End cast announced as musical returns to London

The West End cast for hit musical Hadestown has been officially announced.

With a book, music and lyrics by Anaïs Mitchell, Hadestown will begin performances at Lyric Theatre on 10 February 2024 with tickets on sale now here.

The musical, which has been running on Broadway since 2019, returns to London having previously ran at the National Theatre in 2018.

Meet the Hadestown West End cast

Leading the cast are Dónal Finn as Orpheus, Grace Hodgett-Young as Eurydice, Melanie La Barrie as Hermes, Gloria Onitiri as Persephone and Zachary James as Hades.

The Fates will be played by Madeline Charlemagne, Allie Daniel and Bella Brown.

The Workers chorus will feature Lauren Azania, Tiago Dhondt Bamberger, Beth Hinton-Lever, Waylon Jacobs and Christopher Short.

Completing the company are swings Lucinda Buckley, Ryesha Higgs, Miriam Nyarko and Simon Oskarsson.

Hadestown is directed by Rachel Chavkin with choreography by David Neumann, scenic design by Rachel Hauck, costume design by Michael Krass, lighting design by Bradley King, sound design by Nevin Steinberg and Jessica Paz, musical director and vocal arrangements by Liam Robinson, orchestrations and arrangements by Michael Chorney and Todd Sickafoose and dramaturg Ken Cerniglia.
