A security guard took on a classic from Ghost The Musical in a show-stopping Britain’s Got Talent audition.

Harrison Pettman, a 22-year-old security guard and youth worker, left his family and the audience in awe as he sneaked away from his seat, ostensibly to visit the toilet, only to reappear on stage for an unexpected performance.

Singing ‘With You’ from the musical Ghost, Harrison not only showcased his vocal talent but also delivered a performance filled with genuine emotion.

Amanda Holden was particularly moved by his rendition, noting, “It’s a beautiful song and I know the song very well, it’s a favourite of mine. Also, what was beautiful was how well you acted it. You did it from your heart, very genuinely.”

Bruno Tonioli praised the quality of Harrison’s voice: “I love your voice, there’s a quality to it, especially in the lower register which is so rich, so deep. It’s very rare to get that quality.”

Simon Cowell, while appreciative, offered a mix of encouragement and critique.

“You’re very, very likeable and you did perform the song well. However, you need a lot of practice if your dream is to be on the West End. I get it, you’re nervous but I’m kind of on the fence,” he commented.

Alesha Dixon was enthusiastic in her support, giving the first nod of approval: “I thought that was fantastic so I’m going to kick this off with a yes.”

With all four judges saying yes, Harrison successfully moved on to the next round of this year’s contest.

Britain’s Got Talent airs Saturday nights on ITV1.
