How to get free tickets for Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle this May

A free ticket ballot is now open to be in the audience of the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle this May.

The Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle will take place on Sunday, 7 May featuring global music icons and contemporary stars together in celebration of the historic occasion.

The event will be broadcast on the BBC with 10,000 tickets given away for free in a random ballot to watch the concert in person.

You can put yourself forward for the draw by visiting bbc.co.uk/coronationconcert by Tuesday, 28 February.

The BBC say that tickets “will be allocated based on the geographical spread of the UK population and not on a first-come first-served basis”, so as long as you make the deadline you’re in with a shot of attending.

If you don’t manage to score a ticket you’ll be able to enjoy the event at home on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and BBC Radio 2.

The concert will see a world-class orchestra play interpretations of musical favourites fronted by fantastic entertainers, alongside performers from the world of dance and the arts.

The performances will be supported by staging and effects located on the Castle’s East Lawn and will also feature a selection of spoken word sequences delivered by stars of stage and screen..

Alongside the ballot, additional tickets will be distributed to charitable organisations.

Charlotte Moore, BBC Chief Content Officer, said: “The coronation concert on the BBC will bring the nation together to mark this momentous occasion and we are thrilled to be able to offer the public the opportunity to be part of the event at Windsor Castle through a national ballot, as well as providing audiences with exclusive coverage across TV and radio.”
