Moulin Rouge! The Musical in West End reveals new cast

Moulin Rouge! The Musical in London has revealed brand new casting for this autumn.

Based on the iconic film of the same name, Moulin Rouge! The Musical is playing at the Piccadilly Theatre with tickets on sale now here.

New casting for the hit West End production has been announced, starting performances from 17 October.

Meet the new Moulin Rouge! cast in the West End

Leading the new cast will be Jamie Muscato as Christian, Melissa James as Satine and Matt Rixon as Zidler.

Joining them will be Ian Carlyle as Lautrec, Ben Richards as The Duke, Amy Thornton as Nini, Elia LoTauro as Santiago, Hannah Jay-Allan as Arabia, Tiago Dhondt Bamberger as Baby Doll and Elliotte Williams-N’Dure as La Chocolat .

At certain performances, Tanisha Spring will play the role of Satine.

Completing the new company are Michael Afemare, Yandrick Agius, Femi Akinfolarin, Ollie Augustin, Will Bozier, Robson Broad, Jonathan Cordin, Anthony Cragg, Katie Deacon, Fletcher Dobinson, Taofique Folarin, Honey Joseph, Alicia Mencía Lopez, Georgia Morgan, Nathaniel Morrison, Melissa Nettleford, Alice Readie, Ben Rutter, Craig Ryder, Elly Shaw, Tinovimbanashe Sibanda, Misty May Tindall, Jon Tsouras, Lily Wang and Jason Leigh Winter.

Moulin Rouge The Musical is based on the 2001 film Moulin Rouge! directed by Baz Luhrmann and written by Luhrmann and Craig Pearce. It tells the story of Christian who falls in love with actress and courtesan Satine, star of Paris cabaret venue Moulin Rouge.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical opened at London’s Piccadilly Theatre from 12 November 2021.
