New musical Shucked to open on Broadway in March

New musical Shucked is to open on Broadway next Spring.

Following a regional premiere, the show will transfer to Broadway with performances at the at the Nederlander Theatre starting 8 March ahead of an official opening on 4 April 2023.

The musical has a book by Robert Horn (Tootsie, 13) with songs by Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally.

Starring in the cast for the Broadway production will be John Behlmann as Gordy, Kevin Cahoon as Peanut, Andrew Durand as Beau, Caroline Innerbichler as Maizy, Ashley D. Kelley as Storyteller and Alex Newell as Lulu.

Jack O’Brien directs the production with choreographer Sarah O’Gleby, music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Jason Howland, scenic designer Scott Pask, costume designer Tilly Grimes, lighting designer Japhy Weideman, sound designer John Shivers and hair and wig designer Mia Neal. Casting is by C12 Casting Stephen Kopel, CSA.
