The Notebook musical to open on Broadway in 2024

A musical adaptation of The Notebook is to arrive on Broadway in 2024.

Adapted from the Nicholas Sparks’ novel, the production will open at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on 14 March, with previews from 6 February.

Set against the backdrop of the 1940s, The Notebook tells the story of Noah and Allie, spanning social class differences and time itself.

The musical has a score from Ingrid Michaelson and book by Bekah Brunstetter.

Co-directed by Michael Greif and Schele Williams, the production has choreography by Katie Spelman, set design by David Zinn and Brett J. Banakis, costume design by Paloma Young, lighting design by Ben Stanton, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, hair & wig design by Mia Neal, music supervision by Carmel Dean, orchestrations by John Clancy, musical direction by Geoffrey Ko and casting is by The Telsey Office, Patrick Goodwin, CSA.

Casting for the Broadway run is to be announced.

The production first made its world premiere at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

The original novel was released in 1996 and later adapted into a hit 2004 film starring Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling.
