The Prince of Egypt musical cast recording released – download and stream

The Prince of Egypt musical original cast recording has been released.

Adapted from the 1998 DreamWorks animated movie, The Prince of Egypt musical recently opened at the Dominion Theatre in London.

The stage adaption features ten new songs from Stephen Schwartz alongside the original five songs the Wicked composer penned for the movie, including Oscar-winning track When You Believe.

The original West End London cast of The Prince of Egypt musical features Christine Allado as Tzipporah, Alexia Khadime, as Miriam, Luke Brady as Moses and Liam Tamne as Ramses.

Further cast includes Joe Dixon as Seti, Debbie Kurup as Queen Tuya, Gary Wilmot as Jethro, Adam Pearce as Hotep, Tanisha Spring as Nefertari, Silas Wyatt-Barke as Aaron and Mercedesz Csampai as Yocheved.

The ensemble is made up of Simbi Akande, Casey Al-Shaqsy, Joe Atkinson, Danny Becker, Felipe Bejarano, Paje Campbell, Adam Filipe, Soophia Foroughi, Natalie Green, Jack Harrison-Cooper, Rachael Ireson, Kalene Jeans, Christian Alexander Knight, Jessica Lee, Oliver Lidert, Jay Marsh, Scott Maurice, Carly Miles, Sam Oladeinde, Alice Readie, Christopher Short, Molly Smith, Ricardo Walker, Danny Williams, Niko Wirachman, Sasha Woodward.

Originally produced by DreamWorks animation, The Prince of Egypt is an adaptation of the Book of Exodus and tells the journey of Moses as from being a prince of Egypt to his ultimate destiny to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt.

The show had been booking through to the end of October 2020 before the recent West End shutdown.
