The Royal Variety Performance 2023 lineup and date

A host of theatre, music and comedy acts have been confirmed for the Royal Variety Performance 2023 lineup.

This year’s event will be held at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, hosted by Bradley Walsh.

When is the Royal Variety Performance 2023

The Royal Variety Performance will be on TV on Sunday, 17 December from 8PM on ITV1.

You’ll also be able to watch online on ITVX.

The show was filmed with members of the Royal Family in attendance on Thursday, 30 November.

This year’s Royal Variety Performance line up

For fans of theatre, highlights include a grand 100th Anniversary celebration by Disney Theatrical with a mesmerizing medley from popular casts like The Lion King, Frozen, Aladdin, Hercules and Beauty & The Beast.

There will also be performances from West End musical The Little Big Things, as well as casts from Crazy For You and Sister Act led by vocal powerhouse Beverley Knight. Derren Brown’s West End creation Unbelievable will also perform.

Plus, Melanie C will offer up a heartfelt tribute to theatre producer Bill Kenwright.

Meanwhile, Cher is set to grace the stage, offering a taste of her new Christmas album, while Hannah Waddingham will perform accompanied by the ENO chorus

More music performances will come from pop rock band McFly, marking their two-decade journey in the music industry, as well as Rick Astley, Zara Larsson and Paloma Faith.

Also on the Royal Variety Performance 2023 lineup are world-renowned pianist Lang Lang, who will collaborate with 14-year-old Lucy, the prodigious winner of Channel 4’s The Piano, and dance troupe Malevo.

Finally, comedy will come from Britain’s Got Talent winner, Viggo Venn, introduced by Simon Cowell, as well as Tom Allen, Rosie Jones, Ellie Taylor and Simon Brodkin.

To set a patriotic tone, The Fanfare Trumpeters of The Band of the Welsh Guards, along with the National Youth Choir, will lead the National Anthem.

The 2023 Royal Variety Performance will air on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday, 17 December at 8PM.
