Tom Holland to star in Romeo & Juliet in the West End

Tom Holland will star in a brand new production of Romeo & Juliet in the West End from Jamie Lloyd.

The Jamie Lloyd Company will bring a fresh production of William Shakespeare’s timeless classic Romeo & Juliet, to the Duke of York’s Theatre.

The production is set to run from Saturday 11 May to Saturday 3 August 2024 with tickets on sale from Tuesday, 13 February via ATGTickets.com.

Tom Holland will feature in the lead role of Romeo, under the direction of acclaimed director Jamie Lloyd.

Jamie Lloyd said: “Tom Holland is one of the greatest, most exciting young actors in the world. It is an honour to welcome him back to the West End.”

Further casting details for the production are yet to be announced.

In line with the Jamie Lloyd Company’s commitment to accessibility, the production will offer 10,000 tickets at £25 and under. Half of these tickets are reserved exclusively for individuals under 30, key workers, and those receiving government benefits.

On the creative team, the text editor is Nima Taleghani, with set and costume design by Soutra Gilmour. Lighting design is handled by Jon Clark, while sound design is overseen by Ben and Max Ringham.

Video design and cinematography are managed by Nathan Amzi and Joe Ransom. Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante contributes as the composer, with Stuart Burt CDG serving as the casting director. Movement direction is provided by Sarah Golding and Yukiko Masui (SAY), and intimacy coordination by Ingrid Mackinnon. The team also includes Jonathan Glew as associate director and Rachel Wingate as associate designer.
