Watch The Spongebob Musical cast perform at West End Live

The cast of The Spongebob Musical took to the stage of West End Live this weekend!

West End Live made a triumphant return on Saturday and Sunday for a incredible line up of live performances.

One of the shows performing live was The Spongebob Musical, currently on tour ahead of a run in London this summer.

They performed Chop to the Top, (I Guess) I Miss You and (Just a) Simple Sponge as well as the show’s title song.

Based on the iconic animated TV series, The SpongeBob Musical features songs by Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might Be Giants and T.I and more.

A teaser of the show shares: “When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world!”

Other shows appearing on West End Live 2023 this year include Cabaret, Treason, Wicked, We Will Rock You, Hamilton, I Wish My Life Were Like A Musical, RSC’S Matilda The Musical, Idiot’s Assemble: Spitting Image The Musical, Annie Get Your Gun, The Book Of Mormon, Les Miserables, Ride, Babies, Jersey Boys and Disney’s Frozen and The Lion King.

Also appearing across the weekend are Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, Death Note: The Musical, Operation Mincemeat, Aspects of Love, Showstopper! The Improvised Musical, The Wizard of Oz, Six The Musical, Glory Ride, Ain’t Too Proud, 42nd Street, La Bamba, The Phantom of the Opera, Magic Mike Live, Crazy For You and A Strange Loop.
