Willy’s Chocolate Experience saga is being turned into a musical

Willy’s Candy Spectacular A Musical Parody

Get ready for a sweet treat this summer! Willy’s Chocolate Experience, the internet sensation, is now the inspiration for Willy’s Candy Spectacular: A Musical Parody.

Produced by Richard Kraft, the show will have its world premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe, running at the Pleasance King Dome from 9 to 26 August.

The producers stress that this musical is not associated with any Roald Dahl films, books, or existing shows.

The musical will feature songs from talented songwriters including Riki Lindhome, Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner, Tova Litvin and Doug Rockwell, and Daniel Mertzlufft.

For a sneak peek, you can listen to an opening number performed by John Stamos (though he won’t be at the Edinburgh Fringe).

You can also watch a music video for Dreamed TO Dare, penned by Daniel Mertzlufft – who launched the viral TikTok musical Ratatouille the Musical.

The video features TikTok singing sensations The Sharpe Family and the actual sad Oompa Loompa Kirsty Paterson from the viral Wonka Experience in Glasgow playing herself, as the attendees prepare to enter the world of dreams (or nightmares?).
