Cast for Brooklyn the Musical at London’s Greenwich Theatre confirmed

Broadway musical Brooklyn will make its European premiere at London’s Greenwich Theatre.

The show, which ran in New York in 2004 with a cast including Eden Espinosa and Karen Olivo, will play at the Greenwich Theatre from Friday 27 September to Saturday 19 October, 2019.

Brooklyn The Musical, with a book, lyrics, and music by Mark Schoenfeld and Barri McPherson, is a story within a story.

A synopsis teases:

On the outside, a band of soulful street singers and storytellers sharing a story from their lives. And their story: a young Parisian coming to America to search for fame and the Father she never knew. Her only clue, her name…. Brooklyn.

With a brilliant mix of pop, rock and soul, including the famous song, ‘Once Upon A Time’, these stories interweave to create a musical that is a touching and inspiring sidewalk-fairy tale.

The confirmed cast for Brooklyn will feature Hiba Elchikhe as Brooklyn, Emily-Mae as Paradice, Sabrina Aloueche as Faith, John Addison as Taylor, Andrew Patrick-Walker as Streetsinger and Jodie Beth Meyer as alternate Brooklyn.

Adam Haigh will direct and choreograph the London production.

Performances will be Monday – Saturday at 7.30pm with a Matinee Saturday at 2.30pm.
