Barry Manilow musical Harmony cast recording release date announced ahead of Broadway run

A cast recording for musical Harmony has been released ahead of its upcoming Broadway run.

The musical by the iconic Barry Manilow and Bruce Sussman is set to play at Broadway’s Barrymore Theatre, with previews starting on 18 October and an official opening night on 13 November.

Released by Ghostlight Records, you can stream and download the cast recording now from ghostlightrecords.lnk.to/HarmonyCastRecordingPR

The principal cast of Harmony features Chip Zien as Rabbi, Sierra Boggess as Mary, Julie Benko as Ruth and Allison Semmes as Josephine Baker. The Harmonists will be played by Sean Bell, Danny Kornfeld, Zal Owen, Eric Peters, Blake Roman and Steven Telsey.

Harmony is a captivating rags-to-riches story based on the unbelievable true tale of The Comedian Harmonists, a group of highly successful entertainers in the 1920s and ‘30s. Despite their incredible fame, their story was largely forgotten by history until now.

The musical explores their journey from singing in the subway tunnels of Berlin to achieving international superstardom, all thanks to their heavenly harmonies and musical comedy antics.

Directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Warren Carlyle, Harmony first had a sold-out and award-winning run at the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene before making its way to Broadway.

The musical first made its premiere back in 1997 and originally had been planned to run on Broadway in 2004.
