Cast revealed for Cinderella at Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre

Full casting has been announced for Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella at Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre.

The upcoming production will be the UK theatrical premiere of the piece, running from 1 November to 11 December 2022.

First written for television in the 1950s, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella features songs including ‘In My Own Little Corner’, ‘Impossible/It’s Possible’ and ‘Ten Minutes Ago’. The stage version held its premiere on Broadway in 2013.

Cinderella at Hope Mill Theatre cast

Grace Mouat (Legally Blonde) will take on the lead role of Ella with Jacob Fowler (Heathers) as Prince Topher.

Joining them will be Annie Aitken as Madame, Julie Yammanee as Marie/Fairy Godmother, Lee Ormsby as Sebastian, Matthew McDonald as Lord Pinkleton, Katie Ramshaw as Charlotte, Olivia-Faith Kamau as Gabrielle and Adam Filipe as Jean-Michel.

Completing the company are Morgan Broome, Lois Glain Postle, Ria Tanaka , Ella Valentine, Jamie Jonathan, Will Fisher, Trevor Lin and Milo McCarthy.

Joseph Houston directs the production with with co-direction and choreography by William Whelton, assistant director Tarik Frimpong, set and costume design by Elly Wdowski, assistant designer Alfie Heywood, new musical arrangements by Jason Carr, projection design by George Reeves, lighting design by Aaron J Dootson, sound design by Adam Fisher and casting by Jane Deitch.

The musical supervisor is Leo Munby, musical director Audra Cramer, wig designer Richard Mawbey, associate choreographer Charise Renouf, assistant costume designer Eve Salter, sound no 1. Josh Evans. Artwork is by Steph Pyne with images by Michael Wharley and video by Umbrella Rooms.
