Closer Than Ever revival to stream online this month – watch a first look!

A digital revival of Closer Than Ever will stream online this autumn.

The musical revue by Richard Maltby, Jr. and David Shire will stream from 23 September on BroadwayHD, co-produced by Ginger Quiff Media.

The cast will feature Kerry Ellis (Wicked, We Will Rock You), Dalton Harris (The X Factor), Lee Mead (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat) and Grace Mouat (Six, &Juliet).

Direction and choreography comes from Stacey Haynes with co-direction by Tony Award-winning original lyricist Richard Malty Jr.

Completing the creative team are musical director Nick Barstow, production designer Andrew Exeter, costume designer Natalie Alverez and assistant director Matt Byham.

A captivating and hilarious song cycle which delves into the trials and tribulations of modern love, Maltby and Shire’s Closer Than Ever will take audiences on a journey of lust and romance, marriage and ageing, unrequited love and obsession.

This uplifting revue is a relatable and easy going exploration of what it means to be human and to love – the perfect tonic to the last year or so.
