Come From Away to close in London’s West End in January

Come From Away final performance date revealed

Come From Away is to close in London’s West End.

Winner of Best New Musical at the Olivier Awards in 2019, the production will play its final performance at the Phoenix Theatre on Saturday, 7 January 2023.

The hit musical shares the touching real-life story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world who were grounded in Canada during the wake of the 9/11 terror attacks, and the small Newfoundland community that invited these ‘come from aways’ into their lives.

At the time of closing it will have played over 1,000 performances.

News of the West End closure follows an announcement that the original Broadway production will play its final performance at the Schoenfeld Theatre on Sunday, 2 October 2022. At closing it will have played 25 previews and 1,670 performances since premiering in 2017.

A filmed performance of the Broadway production was released last year on Apple TV+.
