Cruel Intentions musical cast for Edinburgh Festival Fringe confirmed

The cast for the UK premiere of Cruel Intentions musical at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe has been confirmed.

A stage adaption of the hit 90s musical recently went on a US tour following productions in both LA and Off-Broadway in New York.

Cruel Intentions: The 90s Musical will run at the Palais du Variété Spiegeltent at Assembly George Square Gardens from 8:30PM between August 1 – August 25 with tickets on sale now.

The cast will feature Dominic Andersen as Sebastian Valmont, Rebecca Gilhooley as Kathryn Merteuil, Evelyn Hoskins as Cecile Caldwell, Scott Hunter as Blaine Tuttle, Sophie Isaacs as Annette Hargrove, Dean John-Wilson as Greg McConnell, Ashley Samuels as Ronald Clifford and Gemma Salter as Bunny Caldwell.

Based on the 1999 film starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon, and Selma Blair, the Cruel Intentions musical tells the story of two diabolical step-siblings who target an innocent girl.

The jukebox musical features hit songs from the 90s including Iris by Goo Goo Dolls, Genie In A Bottle by Christina Aguilera, Torn by Natalie Imbruglia, Bye Bye Bye by *NSYNC and No Scrubs by TLC.

The musical has a book by Roger Kumble, Lindsey Rosin and Jordan Ross. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe production will feature direction from Jonathan O’Boyle and choreography from Gary Lloyd.

Design is by Lee Newbury, musical direction by Sarah Morrison, sound design by Dan Samson and casting by Debbie O’Brien.

An Off-Broadway cast recording is available now, featuring Lauren Zakrin, Constantine Rousouli, Carrie St. Louis, Jessie Shelton and Alex Boniello.
