Eleanor Hill brings new Tragi-comedy SAD-VENTS to Greenwich Theatre

Eleanor Hill is to bring her new Tragi-comedy SAD-VENTS to London’s Greenwich Theatre.

Fresh from its run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer, the show will run 10 – 11 October.

The run will be a home-coming of sorts for Eleanor Hill who was born in Greenwich.

SAD-VENTS offers up a new frontier of social media storytelling & theatre and features relaxed performances & theatre etiquette.

Bring your phones, take pictures, record videos, live stream the whole thing if you like📱(Theatre etiquette lovers… look away! OHHH, THE HORROR 😵

Not for the fainthearted, this ‘endearingly, recklessly look-no-hands bold’ (Lyn Gardner) tragicomedy ‘makes Fleabag look like CBeebies.’ Memes, messages and music collide with a series of monologues so close to my actual life you could just be reading my diary. Obviously don’t actually read my diary though… boundaries, come on!

Be prepared for DM sliding, TikTok dancing, social stalking and endless oversharing. SAD-VENTS is ‘at once very raw and technically ambitious’ (The Guardian) using live streaming, projections and music to explore the hilarious and heartbreaking realities of mental health & trauma, in the age of social media, as it seeks to answer the ultimate question: do we consume it or does it consume us?
