Big Night Of Musicals preview

The Big Night of Musicals by the National Lottery, a grand celebration of musical theatre, returns on TV this evening.

Hosted by Jason Manford, this live concert will showcase a medley of captivating performances from some of the UK’s most beloved musicals.

Jason Manford enthused: “I’m thrilled to be hosting The National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals once again. We’ve got another amazing line-up of smash hit shows for the Manchester Arena audience to enjoy. And the best thing about this show is that the tickets are free.”

2024’s Star-Studded Line-Up

The line-up for the 2024 concert includes a range of spectacular shows such as Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, A Chorus Line, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, the new tour of Grease, Hadestown and Guys & Dolls.

Joining these are iconic performances from Hamilton, Disney’s Aladdin, Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, and Mrs. Doubtfire.

Adding to the excitement, West End star Beverley Knight is set to make a special guest appearance. More shows and performances are expected to be announced as the event draws nearer.

The concert is scheduled to be broadcast on BBC One on Saturday, 27 January at 7:50PM.

Additionally, the show will be available for online viewing on BBC iPlayer and can be listened to on BBC Sounds, with highlights featured on BBC Radio 2.

Filming took place earlier this week at the AO Arena in Manchester in front of thousands of musical theatre fans.
