First look at Flowers for Mrs Harris musical at Riverside Studios

First photos have been revealed for the London premiere of Flowers for Mrs Harris.

Based on the novel by Paul Gallico, the musical is written by Rachel Wagstaff with music and lyrics by Richard Taylor.

A brand new production of the show, which previously ran at the Chichester Festival Theatre in 2018, is now running at Riverside Studios through to 26 November 2023.

Jenna Russell features in the title role, joined on the company by Hal Fowler as Albert Harris/Marquis de Chassagne, Kelly Price as Lady Dant/Madame Colbert, Annie Wensak as Violet/French Char Lady, Charlotte Kennedy as Pamela/Natasha, Nathanael Campbell as Bob/Andre, David McKechnie as Major/Monsieur Armand and Pippa Winslow as Countess/Sybill Sullivan.

Issy Khogali, Richard Morse, Harry Singh and Abigail Williams complete the cast.

For Ada Harris, day-to-day life is spent cleaning houses. But one day when she is working for a wealthy client in Belgravia, she happens upon a Dior dress that takes her breath away.

In that magical moment, Ada has an epiphany and sets off on a journey that will change her life… From the cobbled streets of post-war London to the magical avenues of Paris and beyond, Ada transforms the lives of everyone she meets along the way, but can she let go of her past and finally let her own life blossom?

The production is directed by Bronagh Lagan with musical direction by Jonathan Gill, movement direction by Anjali Mehra, new orchestrations by Jason Carr, set design by Nik Corrall, costume design by Sara Perks, costume supervision by Trish Wilkinson, assistant direction by Teenie Macleod, lighting design by Adam King, sound design by Charlie Smith, casting direction by Jane Deitch. It is produced by Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment and Ollie Hancock for Tiny Giant Productions.
