Marisha Wallace releases festive Christmas single

Theatre star Marisha Wallace has released an original Christmas single for the festive season.

Multi-award-winning singer, songwriter and actor Marisha Wallace has collaborated with Grammy-winning songwriter Toby Gad on Little House in the Snow. The track is available to stream now here.

Known for her stunning performances on both Broadway and the West End, Wallace is currently dazzling audiences in the critically-acclaimed Guys & Dolls.

Little House in the Snow is a deeply personal and emotive song for Marisha, drawing inspiration from her childhood experiences of celebrating Christmas in North Carolina. It recounts the secret traditions with her mother, who discreetly gave gifts from a black bin bag, and the need to hide their new toys upon their father’s return. The song captures the sad yet magical essence of these moments, showcasing Marisha’s powerful and soulful voice in a stripped-back, emotional piano ballad.

Marisha reflects on her past Christmas experiences: “I would watch Home Alone, A Christmas Story, Scrooge, The Muppet Christmas Carol and imagine that I would have those Christmases that you see on television and in the movies. Now, I try to make memories at Christmas that I couldn’t make when I was little. I will decorate and bring all that Christmas spirit that was kept from me for so long.

“Christmas to me means creating the life you want to have. Everybody’s Christmas is different, but if you have family and each other then you have everything, and Christmas is everything.”

Marisha Wallace is a force to be reckoned with in the world of performing arts. Besides her theatrical acclaim, she has been a prominent figure in various realms. From fronting Charlotte Tilbury campaigns to starring in a Netflix series alongside Lisa Kudrow, her versatility is evident

Teaming up with Toby Gad, known for his work on hits like John Legend’s ‘All Of Me’ and Beyoncé’s ‘If I Were A Boy’, the pair have crafted a heartfelt Christmas track that resonates with the true spirit of the festive season.
