New Dolly Parton musical Here You Come Again is to make its UK premiere at Leeds Playhouse.

The new production will run from 11 May – 8 June 2024 at the venue before touring.

Here You Come Again is written. by Bruce Vilanch, Gabriel Barre and Tricia Paoluccio. It features songs written or recorded by Dolly Parton (and others).

This heartwarming and lively new musical unfolds the tale of a devoted fan, who finds solace in his fanciful vision of Dolly Parton during a challenging period.

It has been adapted for the UK by Jonathan Harvey. Gabriel Barre also directs and choreographs while Tricia Paoluccio will also star as Dolly. The cast will also feature Steven Webb (The Book of Mormon) as fan Kevin

Through her signature wit, humour, and irresistible charm, she imparts valuable lessons about life, love, and the art of overcoming obstacles with resilience… even if your bootstraps aren’t adorned with rhinestones!

Director Gabriel Barre said: “We are so excited to bring this gem of a show to the UK, following its successful regional tour in America, and to also set it in the UK with a brilliant new British actor playing the lead role of Kevin, along with a creative UK design team and fresh approach to the storytelling that features all of Dolly’s biggest hits, along with her wit and wisdom which the world needs today, more than ever.
