Nicole Scherzinger to star in Sunset Boulevard in the West End from September

Nicole Scherzinger is to star in a new production of Sunset Boulevard in London’s West End.

Jamie Lloyd will direct the revival at the Savoy Theatre where it will run for 16 weeks from 18 September 2023 – 6 January 2024. Tickets are on sale now here

Nicole Scherzinger, Olivier-nominated for her performance as Grizabella in Cats, will star as Norma Desmond with further casting to be revealed.

Haunted by her memories and dreams, movie star Norma Desmond yearns to return to the big screen. A struggling screenwriter who can’t sell his scripts to the Hollywood studios may be her only hope, until their dangerous and compelling relationship leads to disastrous circumstances.

Drenched in champagne and cynicism, Sunset Boulevard scrutinizes the ambitions and frustrations of its characters and their intoxicating need for fame and adoration.

The musical has book & lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Lord Lloyd Webber said: “Nicole is one of the finest singers I have worked with, and I can’t wait to get started on this exciting show with her and the rest of this brilliant team.”

Jamie Lloyd added: “After our reappraisal of Evita at the Open Air Theatre, Regent’s Park, I’m very excited to rediscover another iconic Lloyd Webber musical — and Sunset Boulevard is one of his most thrilling, complex and atmospheric scores. We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to create a new production of this fascinating piece with the extraordinary Nicole Scherzinger.”

Tickets will go on sale in June.
