Nicole Scherzinger has revealed she’s in the process of writing a musical of her own.

About to star in the Broadway transfer of Sunset Boulevard on Broadway, the Pussycat Dolls star is penning a show “loosely based on [her] life”.

She told the Sunday Times that the musical would likely include many songs from some 15 unreleased albums from her pop career.

Further details on the project are yet to be formally announced.

Last year, while starring in Sunset in the West End, Nicole shared her dream of creating her own show.

Nicole, who has also previously appeared in Cats and lent her voice to Disney’s Moana, shared with WhatsOnStage: “I’m wanting to write my own musical as well. That is a dream of mine.”

And asked if she would appear in it, Nicole quipped: “Honey, would I star in it? Of course! What do you think?”

For now, Nicole will be seen in Sunset Boulevard on Broadway this autumn.

She said of her character Norma Desmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s piece: “It’s great when you do the work. You have to do the work and you’ve got to look ugly in the face and sometimes you’ve got to look ugly while you’re doing it, which is what I’ve done in this character. There were tears, blood and lots of snot. Never did I think I’d get to that moment.”
