Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag available to watch online for charity

Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag has been made available to watch online.

You’ll be able to purchase a copy for £4 with funds going to a number of charities including the National Emergency Trust, NHS Charities, Acting for Others and the Fleabag Support Fund, which will provide grants to freelancers working within the theatre industry.

Waller-Bridge said: “I hope this filmed performance of Fleabag can help raise money while providing a little theatrical entertainment in these isolated times.

“Thank you to all our partners and to the creative team who have waived their royalties from this production to raise money for such vital causes in this unbelievably challenging situation.

“All money raised will support the people throughout our society who are fighting for us on the frontlines and those financially devastated by the crisis, including those in the theatre community.

“Thank you in advance to those who donate. Now go get into bed with Fleabag! It’s for charity! Px.”

You can purchase the recording to watch online via the Soho Theatre website here while the stream will be on Amazon Prime Video from April 10.

Written and performed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and directed by Vicky Jones, Fleabag is a rip-roaring look at some sort of woman living her sort of life.

The live show provided the inspiration for the hit BBC TV series of the same name.

Fleabag was first previewed at London’s Soho Theatre before its debut at Edinburgh Festival in 2013. Last year the production played London’s West End for a strictly limited engagement at Wyndham’s Theatre from 20 August to 14 September.
