Six Queens get a makeover in new production

The hit musical Six, renowned for reimagining the tales of Henry VIII’s wives into pop sensations, has embarked on an exciting journey to Warsaw, Poland.

This latest venture, a non-replica production, is showcased at the Syrena Theatre and features a new creative spin under the direction and choreography of Ewelina Adamska-Porczyk.

Unlike the familiar productions running in London’s West End and on Broadway, this version of Six introduces a fresh perspective, approved by the original creators yet crafted by an entirely new creative team.

The cast is led by Olga Szomańska as Catherine of Aragon, alongside Izabela Pawletko as Anne Boleyn, Marta Burdynowicz as Jane Seymour, Małgorzata Chruściel as Anne of Cleves, Anna Terpiłowska as Catherine Howard, and Natalia Kujawa as Catherine Parr.

Six transforms the stories of the Tudor queens, offering a modern twist where they reclaim their narratives as pop icons. Since its world premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017, the musical has enjoyed widespread success, with productions across the globe including Australia, South Korea, and aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines, and plans for more in Canada, Amsterdam, and Rotterdam. Plus, an ongoing UK tour.
