A teaser for the musical adaption reads:

Journey through the wonders of Ancient Egypt as two young men, raised together as brothers in a kingdom of privilege, find themselves suddenly divided by a secret past. One must rule as Pharaoh, the other must rise up and free his true people; both face a destiny that will change history forever.

Produced by DreamWorks animation, The Prince of Egypt is an adaptation of the Book of Exodus and tells the journey of Moses as from being a prince of Egypt to his ultimate destiny to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt.

The original movie featured an all star voice cast including Val Kilmer, Ralph Fiennes, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sandra Bullock, Jeff Goldblum, Danny Glover, Patrick Stewart, Helen Mirren and Steve Martin.
