The Wind in the Willows musical made available to stream online

The West End production of The Wind in the Willows musical is available to watch online.

It follows all West End and UK Theatres closing down amid the ongoing lockdown.

After being made available for free for a limited time, you can now watch The Wind in the Willows musical online for £4.99.

You can watch the recording online via www.willowsmusical.com.

Note: this is currently only available in the UK.

Meanwhile, donations are encouraged to help provide financial and emotional support to all theatre workers in times of needs. All funds raised will be donated in full to Acting for Others (www.actingforothers.co.uk).

Those behind the musical said last month (March 17): “As theatres are forced to close their doors, we’re making The Wind in the Willows the Musical available to stream online… The film was recorded live at the London Palladium in 2017.”

A synopsis of the show reads: “Join Ratty, Badger, Mole and the impulsive Toad as they embark on a series of riotous adventures spiraling from Toad’s insatiable need for speed in The Wind in the Willows Musical.”

Based on the book of the same name by Kenneth Grahame, the stage adaption was written by Julian Fellowes, music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, directed by Rachel Kavanaugh. The

Filmed at the London Palladium, the cast features Rufus Hound, Gary Wilmot, Craig Mather, Simon Lipkin, Neil McDermott and Denise Welch.
